Model Bridge Competition

1Teams of 2 to 4 students with a teacher supervisor -- no class projects or in-school competitions please!1Starts in NOVEMBER but remaining registration slots are going fast.  Competition takes place Feb. 5, 2005.
1Design the strongest, most aesthetic bridge your team can, following all the restrictions in the specifications.   1Competition takes place at Northeastern University in Boston, but schools can be from anywhere

2READ THESE SPECIFICATIONS CAREFULLY!!!
2DESIGN YOUR BRIDGE -- you have until February 5th to complete your MODEL!  You can aim to make the strongest, you can aim to make the most aesthetic (capable of taking a minimum load, of course!) OR EVEN BETTER aim to make the best of BOTH!!!!
2On Saturday February 5th, we all get together for the big competition.  We set them up and load them up to see which can take the most weight!  Everyone will get breakfast and a pizza lunch, plus a cool t-shirt.  We have a live DJ and special guest judges.  And a few of you will win $100 savings bonds!  Click HERE to see pictures from last year!
2The winners are invited to the Engineer's Week Luncheon, along with their parents and teacher, where they will be awarded their prizes.
