Computer City due December 17

You must submit the Computer Score Sheet on Page A-31.

Please email both to LAFREED@VERIZON.NET

We recommend submission of the Map Inventory on Page A-39 of the Handbook. A review of the rubric on Page A-33 will tell you what we are looking for in scoring the city.

 

SAVING YOUR CITY

Your city is saved in your computer under "My Documents". You will email the file saved as CITYNAME.sc4 \ [C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions\] is full folder path with Username being your Windows account name. If you used

 

SIM4 TUTORIAL POWERPOINT

 

Essays will be due January 7.

Be sure to include your abstract, essay AND bibliography. The form for the essay is on page A-53 and A-59. Review the score sheets on Page A-55-57 and A-61 for how the essay and abstract will be scored.

 

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES FOR ESSAY

In addition, there are many local resources for green building. GreenRoundtable in Boston focuses on green building.

 

 

 MEDIA WAIVER

At this point you should also know who will be attending the competition. PLEASE mail or pdf the on page A-75 with your essay.

 

Competition will be held January 19 at Northeastern University.

You will bring your model at that time.

Please pay attention to the model dimensions in the handbook.

 

Your model and presentation will be judged by a panel of judges from the engineering community. Your essay will already have been scored by a similar group of engineers and professionals.

2008 NATIONAL FINAL PRESENTATIONS

We have a video of  the 2008 National Finals presentations. This is a very good way to see the National top 5 teams, their presentations and responses to judges questions. We also have the 2007 finals, which include the New England winner (placed 5th at Nationals)!
